We are a union for BBAs, and our task is to ensure the best possible terms of employment for BBAs and to help them with career-related matters.
We influence the working life of BBAs both by negotiating collective agreements and at the individual level: by sparring, advising and, if necessary, also defending our members in conflict situations. We highlight the diverse competence of BBAs and influence the quality and appreciation of the degree.

The Professionals of Business and Technology was established in 1996 to represent BBAs who had graduated from universities of applied sciences as their degrees became established and they sought their place in the labour market.
BBAs needed their own voice and representative: terms of employment needed to be secured, career development needed support, and someone needed to promote the recognition of the degree.
Now we can see that the work has produced results. At the same time, it can be said that BBAs will also need a voice and representative in the future. Every member, old and new, is needed. Together, we can do more and the voice of a larger group carries further.
Our starting point is that there are no limits to the possibilities of BBAs – that’s also where our slogan “No Limits” comes from.
Our union’s highest decision-making power is exercised by the assembly of delegates of the Professionals of Business and Technology. The Board of Directors is responsible for the planning and implementation of operations. The office of the Professionals of Business and Technology implements the union’s operations in accordance with the Board of Directors’ guidelines.

Our strategy makes it easier for the entire community to perceive the common goal as similar and guides the achievement of the goals. The assembly of delegates approved the strategy at its meeting on 23 November 2024. The assembly of delegates evaluates the implementation of the strategy annually and makes changes to the lines of operations, if necessary.
We are a forward-looking community that promotes the best working life in the world and competence.
We are what our members need at different stages of working life: we build the image of BBAs, make studies and working life more refreshing, mentor, manage and defend, if necessary. We act and communicate practically, boldly and with a touch of humour, like BBAs
usually do.
A happy BBA is healthy and balanced. They are proud of their degree, believe in themselves and are open to change. Their diverse competence and bold attitude are constantly in demand, and they are a needed and valued member of their work community.
As a member of the Professionals of Business and Technology community, they promote their own success by actively increasing their competence and developing their life management skills. They use the services offered by the Professionals of Business and Technology, our network and the help and support they receive in different working life situations. As part of the Professionals of Business and Technology community, they can exchange experiences and insights, thus strengthening the attractiveness of BBAs in the labour market with their own contribution.
Every BBA is aware that only together, as a strong community, can we create the best working life in the world and promote the success and equality of every BBA in the middle of constant change, now and in the future.
The Professionals of Business and Technology is a registered association whose operations are governed by the Associations Act and our rules. The rules describe the purpose of our operations and our concrete operating methods.
The badge of merit or medal of the Professionals of Business and Technology can be awarded as recognition for laudable work done for the Professionals of Business and Technology community and/or for activities promoting its goals, and nominations can be made on behalf of persons in the community acting in positions of trust.
Regional and national member organisations, committees and the Board of Directors of the Professionals of Business and Technology can submit proposals on the recipients of the badges of merit. Anniversary medals are awarded separately during the anniversary years. Applications for other badges of merit are sent to the organisation committee.
