You can terminate your membership of the Professionals of Business and Technology at any time. However, find out how terminating your membership will affect your situation first. We grant a membership fee discount during family leave or in the event of unemployment, for example.
In the event of unemployment, unnecessary household expenses are often re-evaluated. However, resigning from the union is not worth it in the event of unemployment. You will get a 50% discount on your membership for the duration of unemployment.

Terminating a membership always requires contacting the union
The union is responsible for making its members aware of the effects of the termination of membership on insurance coverage and unemployment security, for example, so that the member is aware that they will lose the already collected employment condition and the right to earnings-related unemployment allowance – unless they join another unemployment fund within a month.

Membership can be terminated without notice, but not retroactively. The termination of the membership is processed and the membership fees will be invoiced according to the date of receipt of the resignation form. Since the membership fee of the Professionals of Business and Technology is a fixed monthly fee, the membership fees will be invoiced until the end of the month in which your resignation form was received. The membership fee will not be allocated per day.
If the membership fee has been paid in advance for the entire year, the share of the membership fee for the remaining part of the year will be refunded if the membership ends in the middle of the year. Not paying the membership fee is not a way to terminate the membership; the membership fees must be paid by the end date of the membership.
